Self Defence & Relaxation for School Children

Group photo of children with Aikido instructors

It's what parents and teachers have known for years; stress and conflict affect our children from a very young age.

This in turn can lead to a number of symptoms including:

  • poor grades/results
  • a loss of concentration or lack of attention span
  • poor school attendance record
  • depression
  • constant complaints of boredom
  • disruptive behaviour at home and/or in school
"[Brian has a] Positive attitude, good people skills [and] interacts well with pupils. Entertaining" - Morristion Comprehensive

As a parent or a teacher you already know that your children require physical and mental stimulation; Harmony's courses will provide both.

Our courses held at Morriston, Olchfa, Pantycelyn, Gowerton and Gwendraeth comprehensive schools have already proven beneficial to a number of students whose teachers have deemed them to be too disruptive and consequently beyond help.

"Mr Hancock was fantastic! Every pupil was listening, focused, interested, enjoying. great presentation. Inspiring." - Pantycelyn comprehensive

Our course has also helped several children and teenagers cope with their learning disabilities, we even have the experience to tailor our courses for children with physical disabilities - inclusion for all, an important aspect for dealing with stress.

As a result, the children we have worked with have shown an:

  • Improved health and wellbeing, both physically and mentally.
  • Improved concentration.
  • Improved behaviour.
"The energy and positive thoughts the role model encouraged the pupils to feel was excellent." - Gwendraeth comprehensive
