Teaching children to be happy - posted by Marc 11th May 2007

A London School of Economics Professor has advised the government of the need for "happiness lessons".
In a BBC News interview, Professor Lord Richard Layard explains the need for

"emotional intelligence lessons so that children could learn how to manage their emotions and look at attitudes to work and money."

I couldn't agree more. Teaching children at a young age how to relax and deal with life's challenges in a calm way will lead to a longer, healthier life.

Corporate Courses

Copnflict at Work

If your work involves dealing with the public then you are at risk of conflict that could escalate into physical violence.

EU legislation requires companies to train staff in conflict management strategies and, where appropriate, actual self-defence.

Employees; learn how to:

  • Deal with verbal and physical attack
  • De-escalate and avoid conflict
  • Remain calm and in control

Employers; reap the benefits of having employees that are:

  • More productive
  • Happier
  • Less prone to stress and thus take fewer sick days
